o Working with more than two dozen NGOs and governments around the world to create innovative models of use of mobile and other technologies for developmental work
o Pioneering role in the field of mHealth starting from late 2007, encouraging others to come forward to contribute in this growing and promising field
mPower Social Enterprises was born out of ClickDiagnostics Inc., which was founded by graduate students of Harvard University and MIT in 2008. We started our journey in Egypt in partnership with their Ministry of Health and Ministry of Communications and Information Technology. Our work soon spread to other countries in the world, particularly Botswana, Bangladesh, Ghana and Uganda.

The “development world” has existed for more than five decades and is still going through a process of evolution for the better. People are striving to find newer and better ways of ensuring impact and accountability of development funding. With growing trend of using mobile devices for collection of data from the field, new opportunities have opened up to push the boundaries of maximizing impact.

BRAC-mPower’s mHealth project to reduce maternal & neonatal mortality in urban areas wins “Manthan Award”.
Mobile phone-based solutions to improve pregnancy & enhance survival of preterm infants in resource-poor settings is awarded as one of the top 11 mHealth interventions in the world.
